    This is a different geography which does a better job maintaining the minority population for the current Senate 1, which is designated as Senate District 6 on this plan. Because the current Senate 1 and Senate 29 are benchmark districts failure to maintain a high percentage of minority population in the districts will likely lead to court challenges.
