Again, District 3 appears to be set up for reasons other than representing people of a community. Jacksonville and Orando are two great communities but with different interests and should be represented differently. I’ve been in District 3 for the last 10 years after the Districts were redrawn in 2001, and since then I have felt I have not been represented. I have made requests for information from my representative by way of email, and other than a confirmation of the receipt of the email I get no reply.

Perhaps if I had local representation, I might get a response. Or maybe the representatives should not be able require our address to learn we are just someone on the fringe of their district and unimportant.

If this or similar proposals, keep District 3 basicly the same it will continue to be a shining example of gerrymandering in the State of Florida. It’s unfair to the minority of Republicans in District 3 and it’s also unfair to the bordering communities denying them Democratic votes from their communities.

Let’s get away from gerrymandering, politics and partisanship. Let’s get back to community.
