Legisltive staff note that the plan author offered the following comments about his plan:
“The one “MM” (HPUBC0004) is drawn based on the 2002 majority minoritydistricts, and the other (HPUBC0005) is how I view compliance with the intent of the FairDistricts Amendments. I wanted toreflect how those MM districts affect millions of other Floridians from havingcompact districts.”
Don’t like it. I would be in district 1 which appears just like the current district 3. I want local representation not someone hours away in Jacksonville (I’m at the tail of the District in Orlando).
